RingCentral is a company providing hosted or virtual PBX systems. RingCentral provides cloud computing-based phone systems which are designed to help small businesses manage mobile, email communications and fax. Its products include RingCentral Office, RingCentral Fax and RingCentral Mobile.
Standard Features
All RingCentral packages have cloud based PBX with multiple extensions and Internet fax capabilities. The faxes you receive are sent to your email and are also stored online for future reading. Faxes can be sent from within any Microsoft application. This is done by clicking the mouse on the RingCentral icon in the application toolbar.
RingCentral provides free fax software, which gives you the options of previewing, printing and designing your own cover sheets. For security, any outgoing faxes you send are encrypted and faxes are also password protected online, in storage. RingCentral will alert you whenever you receive a new fax. Notification options are either by email, PC software alerts or by sending a text to your cell phone or pager.
You also have the option of having a local or toll free number and you may keep your existing number at no extra cost. Additionally, RingCentral gives you voicemail with the options of personalising a greeting, multiple deliveries, alert options and accessing your voicemails in an email account, online or by telephone. A record of your calls and faxes are logged and stored in your web-based account.
RingCentral Plans
RingCentral offers packages for the home user up to levels that accommodate corporate faxing needs.
The RingCentral Pro Plan features 100 shared minutes and costs $9.99 per month for 10 extensions. Additional minutes are 4.9 cents per minute. Free Internet fax is included.
The RingCentral ProPlus Plan features 1000 shared minutes and costs $24.99 per month for unlimited extensions. Additional minutes are 4.4 cents per minute. Free features include: Internet fax, dedicated fax number, true 800-number and dial-by name directory.
The RingCentral ProUnlimited Plan features unlimited shared minutes and costs $49.99 per month for unlimited extensions. Free features include: Internet fax, dedicated fax number, true 800-number and dial-by name directory.
Customer Support
RingCentral offers 24/7 customer support. Their customer support is available through an online chat feature which is available Mon to Fri. In addition, there is a phone number for customer services and a web email option for specific questions. There is an online technical knowledge base and a FAQ section. A downloadable PDF software user guide is also available. There is also a short video on answering rules for the voicemail feature.
